From the Ground Up follows a years long battle between skiers and snowmobilers in the Wood River Valley of Idaho, which cumulated in the arson of the Boulder Yurts. What followed was a story of resilience and connection across conflict that laid the groundwork for national policies that have real impacts on winter wildlands and their users today.

Client quote
Brown Barn Studios helped us with a project from the very initial stage of mapping out the idea through to the final video they made (which my organization loved). It involved breaking down complex Forest Service policy into a compelling and digestible narrative. They nailed it. They were very professional and went above and beyond at every step of the way to make a high-quality, authentic, and compelling story. They were not daunted by shooting in remote, challenging outdoor conditions and handled emotionally sensitive interviews with grace and poise. They also brought great creative direction and thoughtful feedback to the project which helped strengthen it immensely. I was overall immensely impressed and would hire them again in a heartbeat. Can't recommend Brown Barn Studios highly enough!
